Come by the school and visit our "Math Garden. This garden was made possible by Ross Bryan Associates and Hands On Nashville. The financial support and sweat equity was provided by these outstanding volunteers to celebrate the 60th anniversary of their company. Most businesses celebrate with a nice dinner but not Ross Bryan Associates, they decided to give back to the community.
This special garden makes it possible for children to learn math in a real life setting. Students can measure height, width, length, temperature, perimeter, area and much more. They can use the science center to keep up with the temperature and rainfall each day. There is a special geometric garden which will allow students to see how these designs are used throughout building and sign designs. There is a fraction gardens which will allow students to relate to decimals and percentages as well. We also have a Numbers Rock section so students can count by 2s, 3s, etc. They can also work on place value, addition, subtraction and multiplication.
We are so thankful to Ross Bryan Associates and Hands on Nashville for their generosity and thoughtfulness!
